Why a Catamaran

The Smoothest Way to See Puerto Rico

A catamaran has two hulls instead of one, and that single design difference changes everything about a day on the water. With two hulls, the boat barely rocks — so seasickness is rare, the deck stays level, and everyone from toddlers to grandparents can move around comfortably. The wide beam creates a huge, flat deck with plenty of room to lounge, eat and socialize.

Catamarans also sit higher and shallower in the water, which means better airflow on deck, a cooler ride, and easy access to the shallow sand flats around Icacos and Palomino. Most feature a shaded aft lounge plus a forward trampoline — the favorite spot for sunbathing and watching the coastline drift by.

For families, large groups and anyone prone to motion sickness, a private catamaran charter is the most comfortable way to explore Puerto Rico's east coast — and because every charter is 100% private, the entire boat belongs to your group.

Where You'll Go

Half-day catamaran charters (4 hours) typically visit Icacos Island or Palomino — both within 20–30 minutes of Fajardo. These are calm, protected destinations perfect for snorkeling, swimming and beach time.

About the Vessel

Our catamarans are sailing catamarans and power catamarans, all holding up to 12 guests. The sailing catamaran offers a quiet, classic experience under wind power with engine assist. The power catamaran uses engines only, so it's faster and can reach Culebra in less time while keeping the stable two-hull design.

All catamarans feature a wide, flat deck with a shaded aft lounge, a forward trampoline for sunbathing, and easy water access via stern steps. The stability of a catamaran makes getting in and out of the water easy for all ages.

Every catamaran is USCG-certified, fully insured and equipped with safety gear, navigation electronics and a Bluetooth sound system.

A sailing catamaran moves under wind power with engine assist, offering a quiet, classic experience. A power catamaran uses engines only, so it's faster and can reach Culebra in less time.

Yes. Catamarans are excellent snorkel platforms — their stability makes getting in and out of the water easy for all ages. Gear and a floating mat are included.
